Shattered

Broken inside and floating around

The waves carry me nomadically

My journey echoes hollowly

I’ve become a puzzle comprising millions of pieces

With no pieces missing

But no pieces that want to fit

I gasp for air

As my whole world dissolves

My mind floats away from my body

Whilst my puzzle pieces separate and disperse

One piece for my every thought

Captured by the omnipotent camera of life

Cascaded across the smashing waves

I plough through my thought corridor

Shattering the puzzle pieces into even smaller

More distant fragments

The past drifts away hopefully drowning forever

But the current always washes elements of it back

Again I gasp for air

As Im dragged under by the tides of life

I ‘m losing all control and all energy

And can barely see any prospective future

Just my past

My shattered life

Distributed into the millions of no longer malleable fragments

Which will forever haunt me

As they can never be altered

It can never be changed

And if I find a way to float

The tidal direction will always alternate

And piece by piece

With different strengths

I will be forced to face my past again
